The Boys & Girls Clubs of Medford and Somerville is seeking volunteers for their afterschool programs. These are direct service opportunities working with youth, and include providing academic support and tutoring, literacy support, and/or leading or assisting with seasonal programming opportunities.
Hours of Operation/Winter Programs:
Medford Club (30 Forest Street, Medford, MA):
Monday-Friday 2:30-6:30pm (Elementary and Middle School Programs); AND
Tuesday and Thursdays 6:00-8:00pm (Teen Programs)
Power Hour - Academic Support (M-Th)
World of Dance
Open Mic
Sports & Games
Podcast/BGCM Radio (seeking a volunteer with audio editing skills!)
Chess Club
Torch Club & Keystone - BGC Service and Leadership Programs
Boys Groups and & Girls Groups - Life skills /Social Emotional Support
Somerville Club (located in the Healey Elementary School, 5 Meacham Street, Somerville, MA):
Monday-Friday 2:35-6:00pm (Elementary and Middle School Programs)

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete a Volunteer Application (includes consenting to a National and MA criminal background check as well as a Sex Offender registry check) and e-mail to Laura Perry at lperry@bgcms.org. After we receive your application, we will contact you for an introductory meeting and then a New Volunteer Orientation.
