Time to put your secret green thumbs to work to help us do some weeding of Chinese Privet, an invasive species threatening native plant populations along the Eno River.
The Eno River Association is partnering with the town of Hillsborough to work on restoring a piece of land along the Eno by tackling this tricky plant. We will teach you how to identify Privet before we start. You will be hand pulling and using tools to remove the plants- N o experience is necessary!
The Eno River Association and Hillsborough Public Works will provide work gloves, tools, and snacks. You will need work clothes, sturdy shoes, and a reusable water bottle. To RSVP or learn more, email me at jannette@enoriver.org.
*Please note: Even though it will be hot, long pants are recommended to protect your legs from thorns and ticks.
