Position Summary
With your skills in working with numbers and financial processes you can be a part of impacting people with God's Word. Our aviation department is key to providing transportation solutions to Bible Translation organizations around the world. A huge part of our aviation department is our Parts Inventory room and as a bookkeeper you fill a vital role. We are looking for someone to accurately record and process sales and purchase invoices, work orders, and inventory transactions.
Position Responsibilities
- Accurately record and summarize financial transactions according to generally-accepted accounting principles
- Complete job journals
- Process monthly aviation gas charges and balance the cash box
- Process and rectify the monthly bank statements
- Assist repair station personnel in locating and signing out parts from stockroom
- Perform other duties and functions assigned by the Aviation Parts Inventory Manager
Position Requirements
- A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
- Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS
- Accuracy, detail, and organization skills
- Ability to investigate and scrutinize
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of financial practices
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Google applications, and financial software
- Knowledge of aviation is a plus

JAARS is a multidisciplinary team of problem-solvers committed to the belief--and the vision--that people’s lives and communities are transformed as they experience God’s Word in their own language.
We are a community of full-time missionaries, dedicated volunteers, and a few employees who work together to accomplish the Great Commission goal of providing Scripture to every people group on earth in a language and form they clearly understand. We do that by supporting Bible translation and language development partners globally, and by working with prayer and financial partners in the United States to help make a range of unique on-the-field solutions possible.
