About

Are you experienced in developing social media, print and email communications? Do you have experience with a non-profit in any capacity? Are you prepared to become an ambassador for our organization?

We are in need of individuals who can become our first line of ambassadors to our stakeholders - students, donors, contributors and supporters. We provide local students with scholarships. Funding comes from scholarship sponsors and fundraising events. We maintain multiple social media accounts, utilize email and publish articles, editorials and press releases periodically to inform the public of our milestones and opportunities. We are the largest organization serving local students with scholarships.

You will be asked to take the leadership in developing our external communication. This will begin with understanding our cause, vision and mission and becoming an ambassador of our organization. You will be asked to develop ongoing and event specific promotional plans. Finally, you will be asked to create, compose, and deliver the communication materials necessary to fulfill your plans and help us succeed.

You should have a creative mind and experience with technology needed to create and deploy our communications. You would be expected to have the technology (computers, software, internet) to succeed. You will be asked to work independently, based on plans, to pump out our communication on schedule. As an ambassador, you will be expected to maintain the highest level of integrity and positive promotional light for our organization.

This is purely volunteer position. All meetings will be held in Stamford.
