The Baby Pantry is open each Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. We provide free diapers, wipes, formula, baby food, clothing, and more to any Gratiot County resident with a child under the age of 5. It's a warm, friendly, and nurturing environment that creates a rewarding experience for clients and volunteers alike.

We rely on volunteers to help us run the Baby Pantry when it's open, and with sorting, organizing, and cleaning when it's closed. Volunteer responsibilities for our open hours include opening/closing the Baby Pantry, greeting clients, assisting with paperwork, data collection, diaper and food distribution, accepting incoming donations, sorting clothes, and plenty of baby holding. During our closed hours, volunteer responsibilities include repackaging diapers and wipes, labeling food and formula, re-folding clothes, making up our "New Baby Bags," cleaning the rooms, and keeping items organized. There is something for everyone!

At this time, we are looking for volunteers who can help us during our open hours. Specifically, on the second and forth Wednesdays of the month. Time commitment is generally from 10:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m. each of the scheduled Wednesdays. However, we can be flexible if you can only do one of the Wednesdays, or can only stay for a few hours. Please let us know how we can work together. We just ask that your schedule be consistent so we can be sure we have coverage each week.

Volunteers are required to fill out an application, complete an interview, pass background checks, and go through a brief training.
