River Center volunteers help with visitor services, education, administration, animal care, and maintenance. Volunteers can help at the front welcome desk, with aquarium interpretation, and as a touch tank docent. The River Center also has a variety of special events, family programs, and summer camps.

Mission Statement

To foster a sense of environmental stewardship for the Loxahatchee River's diverse watershed with quality educational programs, exhibits, and meaningful events.


The River Center is an environmental education aquarium located in Jupiter, Florida. Our exhibits and displays represent the Loxahatchee River's habitats; freshwater wetlands, estuaries, and marine environments. The River Center connects families with our water resources and teaches conservation efforts.
