Loxahatchee River Center - Visitor Engagement
ORGANIZATION: Loxahatchee River District
Please visit the new page to apply.
Ever dreamed of being a marine biologist? An environmental educator? Making a difference. Here’s your chance. There are a number of volunteer activities available through facilities like the Loxahatchee River Environmental Center 'River Center’ and the WildPine Lab. You can assist with summer camp programs, special events, field studies and even collect water quality data.
Send us information about your specific interests and how we can contact you. In turn, we will send you more information on fun and important volunteer programs to help the Loxahatchee River.
Volunteers are needed to greet visitors, to give tours of the facility, assist with story time and education programs, and to maintain the gardens around the River Center.
We are currently accepting new volunteers into our program, and we would love to have you join the River Center team! If you are interested, your first step will be to fill out a volunteer application and attend our next intro to volunteering meeting. Please RSVP using the link below.
Please note that all River Center volunteers must be at least 14 years or older, entering 9th grade, and that all adult volunteers, 18 or older, must complete a level II background check.
Click the "apply to be a volunteer" button below to fill out your application. The submit application button does not work if you are using Google Chrome. Alternatively, you can email a copy of your application to volunteer@lrecd.org or bring a printed copy to the introduction to volunteering meeting.

Do not hesitate to reach out to our volunteer coordinator, Emmy Weeks, emily.weeks@lrecd.org, with questions or clarifications. We look forward to hearing from you. Volunteers are a very important part of River Center operations, and we are excited to add good people to our team!
