The Problem: 6,000 Tulsa teens cannot access the important medical and social services they need because they do not have transportation.
That's 6,000 teens who suffer with decreased physical and mental health, who could end up having poorer educational outcomes and lower employment rates due to their decreased abilities, when that doesn't have to be the case at all.
The Solution:We are Modus. Modus is a volunteer-based transportation service that ensures teens get to their appointments consistently, on-time and safely, so allteens can access the services necessary to reach their full potential.
Modus is currently looking for passionate community drivers. We rely on our enthusiastic volunteers to help us void the transportation barrier between Tulsa's youth and getting to their essential medical & social services needs.
We offer a flexible schedule, where you, the volunteer, gets to choose the ride(s) based on when you are free and able to do so.
We also offer opportunities for training sessions to learn valuable skills to not only this opportunity but potentially to other volunteer work you may do.
Come be apart of a team that's dedicated to helping young Tulsans get to necessary appointments so they can be great citizens. Such a small commitment with a big impact. Only you can drive change.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 or older
- Must have a safe and reliable vehicle
- Must have at least 2 years driving experience
- Must carry vehicle insurance and a valid Oklahoma's driver license
- Must have a smart phone
- Must have no criminal record

Description
At Modus, we are changing the way that people think about transportation to ensure that everyone can access the services and opportunities they need to succeed. Modus is nonprofit organization that aims to remove transportation barriers in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We have several programs including,
- Modus Drive - Our volunteer-based transportation service that partners with agencies across Tulsa to get their clients to and from various services.
- ModusEd - Our education program that teaches high school students and providers how to use Tulsa Transit.
- Modus Delivers - Our delivery program, in partnership with Catholic Charities and Life Senior Services, ensures seniors are provided with free, fresh groceries.
Since beginning in 2017, we have already helped over 1,000 individuals get to critical health and social service appointments by providing over 15,000 rides, increase youth ridership on the bus by 30%, and helped numerous individuals and their families access fresh produce.
