Sisters Place is raising a glass in the name of charity on March 1, 2018, at its 16th Annual Crushed Grapes Wine Tasting event. Featuring the finest of wines, specialty beer, delicious hors d’oeuvres, live music and a wide range of silent auction items, this year’s event aims to please both wine enthusiasts and those simply interested in helping the less fortunate while having a great time.

In addition to fine food and drink, there are a limited number of available VIP tickets for this year’s Crushed Grapes event. For $100, VIP ticket holders will be able to enter the event a half hour early to enjoy a special sparkling wine tasting, as well as a chance to win fabulous prizes in an exclusive drawing. General admission tickets are now on sale for $65 in advance and $75 at the door.

Sisters Place, a non-profit 501 c3 , is a supportive housing community committed to assisting single parent families who are homeless in SW PA. Our mission is to assist families toward self-sufficiency by providing housing and supportive services.

Volunteers, ages 21 and older, will be asked to do a variety of tasks, depending on when they are available to assist. Set-up volunteers are needed from 10am-4pm and can come for any amount of time during that period that they are able. The event volunteers will be asked to arrive at 4pm if possible, but shifts are available throughout the night, until the post event concludes at 9:30. (Set-up volunteers can come back that night to the event)

Set-Up Tasks will include: room set-up (tables, linens, chairs); Silent Auction arrangement (staging items); signage placement; glassware set-up; food station placement (napkins, plates, etc.)

Event Tasks include: Wine & Food servers at set stations; 50/50 support; Silent Auction tables support; Greeting/program handout

Volunteers will be able to attend the event free of charge, and breaks will be set up to enable the volunteers to experience the event as well. Sisters Place will be able to sign off on any volunteer hour requirements for volunteers who assist.
