This is an opportunity to learn to facilitate the AVP workshops held in prisons, communities and high schools. Training requires attending 3 2-day workshops. This is the 2nd workshop. AVP addresses finding better alternatives to the conflicts we face daily. Through experiential learning, we explore problems and resolutions that would create a more peaceful existence.
This 2-day Advanced workshop, Creating Empathy, will be held May 30 - 31. Participants should have completed the Basic workshop "Peaceful Relationships" but it is not required. Workshop is a two day workshop held from 8:30am - 5:00pm. Participants must complete both days to receive a certificate.
We will train volunteers to facilitate workshops in prison and/or the community. Interested volunteers should complete the Basic and the Advanced workshops and then take the Training for Facilitators (Held June 13-14). We will accept Spanish Speaking volunteers.
