Dog waste in our parks and on our trails is a serious community health problem in the Truckee Meadows. Doggie Education Ambassadors will serve in teams of two to four people to help educate dog walkers on the harmful effects of dog waste in our parks and watershed.
Spend the morning at one of your favorite City of Reno Parks advocating for the Doggie Ambassador Project. You will be responsible for setting up and taking down the table and pavilion (if you use it) at designated trailheads in the City of Reno. Stationed at a popular trailhead, you will hand out informational flyers, dog treats, personal dog waste bag holders, and provide water for dogs and hikers. Your primary role will be to effectively communicate to dog owners why it is important to pick up after their dog and supply them the tools to do so.
