Outside Carpenters
Lord & Schryver carpenters help ensure that our perimeter fence and wooden structures are sturdy, free of rot, and painted. Activities include rebuilding historic lattice fences, painting, and repairing arbors, benches, and gates, on an as-needed basis. Scheduling is flexible. Volunteers plan their schedule with the Garden Manager, and commit to helping two or more times per month. Weekday or weekend work days are possible. Volunteers who enjoy woodworking and would like to help at Gaiety Hollow, but might only have weekend availability, are good candidates for this opportunity. Professional or amateur carpentry experience is required. New volunteers will work with experienced volunteers as training. All volunteers must attend an orientation session.
