This small crew of volunteers monitors the irrigation system at Gaiety Hollow on a March-October basis. Activities include checking for leaks and kinks, fixing leaks, adding and removing hoses, adjusting watering amounts, and noting the need for professional intervention. Knowledge of irrigation systems is essential. The crew coordinates with the Garden Manger and plans the times for their patrol walks on a weekly basis. Walks are usually conducted early on a weekday morning. All volunteers must attend an orientation session.
