Advocate, learn, grow!

Link our consumers to resources and services by becoming a Patient Advocate volunteer today. This unique volunteer opportunity has many benefits:

  • It’s a great resume builder
  • You’ll gain experience with a mental health agency
  • You can network with professionals
  • You can improve your professional and personal skills

Our adult consumers and our child consumers could use your support while they wait for their appointments. You will:

  • Answer questions and actively listen to consumers’ needs
  • Create a warm, welcoming environment
  • Create activities for children to do in the lobby
  • Connect consumers to services and resources they need

A small conversation or a simple greeting can turn someone’s day around! Patient advocate shifts are usually 2 hours. We are flexible and will work with your schedule so contact us today! 313-308-1400 x319 or sgovender@neguidance.org
