Heartland Hospice is currently seeking volunteers to visit hospice patients in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities in the Northern Suffolk area. Hospice patients are people with a prognosis of 6 months or less to live. Every person is unique, but one common factor is the need for companionship. Many of these people are not able to go out and socialize as they once were. Having a friendly visitor come in once a week can make a huge difference in their life!
