NFP Nexus, a Non-profit Organization dedicated to maximizing the potential of autistic individuals and fostering adult independence and competitive sustained employment, seeks a Grant Writer as part of our fundraising campaign to launch our Spectrum Innovates Autism Transition Initiative. Fundraising Strategic Planning skills and experience would be a huge plus.
The unemployment/underemployment rate of individuals with autism is 90%. Your efforts will help raise start-up funds to develop an innovative and revolutionary program curriculum and the first Maker facility geared specifically to Autistics to help address this alarming statistic. Your work in partnership with our team will be a crucial asset to meet our fundraising goals.
A grant writing consultant has already composed compelling LOI's and identified leads, so you are not starting from scratch. Our workshops have gained notariety as innovative and successful. Additionally, we have been given pro-bono native advertising through Nativo and expect to reach thousands of people. Awareness is building and we expect that this will help your efforts convincing foundations that we are an important role to help Autistic Minds Change the World.

Description
Spectrum Innovates is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization implementing a novel, year-long, college credit bearing autism transition program with a curriculum built around SAI's (Special Areas of Interest), experiential, project-based, and STEM learning taught at the Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology campus adjacent LaGuardia Airport. The National Science Foundation ATE Division found our approach compelling and awarded us a research grant with one grant committee reviewer remarking , "...this project has a good chance of creating a model that could have a big impact on the STEM pathway alternatives for these autistic students.
