The New Castle Jaycees are pleased to announce our return to Sojourners Place in 2019 to prepare and serve a Thanksgiving meal for the residents.
**For those of you who are bringing friends, family, significant others, etc. but you were the only one coordinating scheduling with me please make sure your loved ones also receive this information.**
Sojourners Place, located in Wilmington, is a transitional housing facility that assists 40-50 individuals coping with issues of homelessness. This year marks the 28th year in which the New Castle Jaycees have been preparing a Thanksgiving meal for the residents. It's an annual tradition that is a wonderful way to begin Thanksgiving, meet other Jaycees, learn about Sojourners and make long lasting memories.
In order to make the day run smoothly we need anywhere from 10-15 volunteers so if you have some free time on the morning of Thanksgiving and want to spend a couple hours with the Jaycees, please sign up. There are many time slots throughout the day so we wil appreciate any time you can afford.
