During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Civ.works, an exciting new social platform for civic actions, needs volunteers to help nurture a novel initiative to form collaborative policy and model law. You do not have to be a domain expert - only have strong motivation and willingness to learn. This project will give you an opportunity to reach out and contact leaders in your area of interest and solicit their feedback and policy suggestions. Your work will help strengthen democracy.
In particular, we have a team that has been examining local policies on police violence. We are interested in two efforts: one to share local policies effectively among jurisdictions; and two, to create a space for citizen participation in policy formation.
In particular, we may experiment with the use of Pol.is and other collaboration software to help build consensus around policy language.
This role is flexible depending on the interests, desire and skills of the volunteer.

We created civ.works as a platform for all of us to work together to overcome the corrupting influence of money in politics. Together we can address bad policy, legislation and to hold all of our elected officials accountable. For democracy to work -our government must represent "We the People". civ.works: Together. We can.
civ.works is a privacy protected social platform built for meaningful civic action.
The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
