Join us for our 4th annual 'Dose of Awareness' 5K Walk/Health Expo!
Help end America's prescription drug/opioid abuse epidemic that took the lives of 64,00+ Americans in 2016 alone and has become the worst substance abuse problem in U.S. history.

HEALTH EXPO FREE, interactive family friendly event with education activities for youth and adults of all ages. Learn how YOU can personally combat what has become a national health crisis.
Our Youth Activity Center includes games, face painting, a photo booth and the Army National Guard will have two humvee ambulances for the kids to check out! They can also visit inside a ProTransport1 Ambulance!
5K WALK Help break the silence and end the stigma! Walk in memory of loved ones you've lost, show your support for those in recovery and for those who have lost a precious someone. Funds raised will directly support public awareness campaigns and other efforts to combat this national and local health crisis. Cost $25 (includes T-shirt). Youth 12 and under walk FREE.
Loved Ones Tribute Wear shirts, hats and bring signs for our 5K Walk and Loved Ones Tribute in memory or support of someone special to you. Will include Singer/Recording Artist Elizabeth Edwards, San Ramon's Poet Laureate Kathy Moore and release of dove shaped balloons.

Raffle Prizes include gift cards to restaurants and Sports Basement among several other sought after items. Tickets available at the venue and prizes will be drawn by the end of the event.

Mission Statement
The National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse (NCAPDA) was founded to prevent prescription drug and opioid related substance use disorder and overdose deaths through community education, policy change, legislative advocacy and the distribution of naloxone overdose rescue kits.
Description
The National Coalition Against Prescription Drug Abuse (NCAPDA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established to generate nationwide awareness about the dangers of prescription drug misuse and abuse that can lead to substance used disorder and overdose death. It is run via 100% volunteer support.
NCAPDA partners with schools, colleges, community organizations and medical, law enforcement and other agencies to increase awareness about the dangers of prescription drug abuse/misuse. NCAPDA’s Executive Director, April Rovero, also leads the Contra Costa County MEDS (Medication Education and Disposal Safety) Coalition and works at the national level as an Executive Steering Committee Member of the FED UP! Coalition.
