ORGANIZATION: WGBH

Description: Out-of-school-time educators will join the PBSKIDS Design Squad Global team for an engaging, hands-on training session customized for educators interested in incorporating engineering activities with a global perspective into youth programming for kids ages 10-13. The event features guest speaker Dr. Amon Millner, Assistant Professor of Computing and Innovation at Olin College of Engineering, discussing his work developing technology and community platforms designed to empower learners to make a difference in their neighborhoods. WGBH will also moderate a Q&A with out-of-school youth leaders from across the globe who are running Design Squad GLobal Clubs. Everyone will walk away with practical strategies for engaging youth in easy-to-facilitate hands-on engineering activities.
