ORGANIZATION: RECONNECTING VILLAGES

We are currently seeking support group facilitators as well as co-facilitators. Our meetings are held on Thursday’s from 6:00p.m.-7:30 p.m. A group facilitator is responsible for helping participants reach decisions and accomplish goals. Selecting appropriate methods and tools that will enable participants to achieve results. When problems or issues come up, facilitators work with the group to resolve conflict and return to goals. Encourage group participants to provide mutual assistance and emotional support to each other. Maintain confidentiality and respect among all participants within the group.

We are also in need of volunteers to assist with administrative duties, marketing, networking and fundraising. These volunteers will work on a as needed basis for 8-10 hours per month.

Reconnecting Villages was founded to empower and encourage hope for parents rebuilding their broken families by offering guidance for individuals coping with their child's behavioral challenges.

Description

Our program works with parents and guardians, offering emotional support and guidance to help them cope, while dealing with their child’s behavioral issues. Our meetings are facilitated by volunteers who are committed to providing a nonjudgmental, confidential and safe environment. We also connect parents with a direct contact to a mentoring or counseling organization in order to help get their child back on track.
