Community Threads

Volunteers

Do you want to lend a helping hand in your community? Looking for a way to help that coordinates with a busy schedule? Community Threads is a 100% non-profit resale store that uses donated goods and volunteer labor to produce grants for organizations and churches in the surrounding Chicagoland area.

Your time will contribute to the following:

  • Providing children with educational opportunities
  • Helping the homeless in the inner city of Chicago
  • Creating and maintaining leadership and pastoral training programs for our future leaders
  • Adding to a system of eco-friendly recycling by encouraging the shopping of thrift

Serving at Community Threads is flexible and we will work with your schedule! Volunteers are able to serve anytime the store is open during the week from 10am-9pm and on Saturdays from 10am-7pm.

We also accommodate those who need to serve hours mandated by the court or by schools.
