I am the Founder/leader of Fairy Dogparents and would like to pass the torch to a new volunteer Board President to lead the charge of the organization. Founded in 2009, Fairy Dogparents has helped over 1000 dogs and their families, raised over $500,000 and has been recognized locally, nationally and internationally (The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, The Patriot Ledger, etc., and NBC, CNN.) This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about animal welfare, savvy in business, has strong soft skills and is a leader of people. This role will include recruitment of new board members and volunteers, the day to day management of responding to applications for assistance to keep dogs with their families and out of shelters, website maintenance, tax reporting,managing funds and donations, soliciting donations, leading fundraising efforts and broadening community outreach and strengthening relationships with local shelters and other animal welfare programs, in compliance with IRS 501c3 standards.

After 9 years I am proud to have played a part in keeping over 1000 local Massachusetts dogs out of the shelter and with their families. Due to personal and family commitments I believe the time is right to hand over leadership to someone who can re-energize the mission and continue the cause.
