The Mission Chairs serve as the primary leads for connecting the community and participants to the mission of the Alzheimer's Association throughout the walk season.This position will also lead the Champions and Grand Champions Club program.

Mission Statement

To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Description

The New Mexico Chapter serves Alzheimer's families around the state through support groups, a statewide Helpline, informational kits, resource information, a speakers bureau, training workshops, education conferences, health fairs, quarterly newsletters, Safe return, Project Lifesaver, a respite assistance program and advocacy.

These services are supported primarily through special events suck as The Walk to End Alzheimer's and private donations from individuals, corporations and foundations. We also receive about a third of our program support through the State of New Mexico Aging and Long Term Services Department.
