General Description
Robert Burns is a widely celebrated figure in Scotland and in the Scottish diaspora. Come experience the tradition of Burns Night, a celebration of Scottish culture and Burns' poetry, while enjoying five choice single malt Scotch whiskies paired with delectable foods. Throughout the night, enjoy the sound of bagpipes and live music performed by Dunquin. Volunteers are needed to help with house hosting, serving, cooking, and general event management.
Location: LeDuc Historic Estate, 1629 Vermillion St., Hastings, MN 55033
Date/Time:
February 9 th, 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. (for the public).
Volunteers needed between 2- 10 p.m. Various shifts allowed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Kitchen prep
- Facility set up
- Serving food & scotch
- Guest assistance and event management
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years old or older
- Comfortable working in a kitchen and working with the public
- Serving and cooking experience is welcomed but not necessary
Minimum Time Commitment:
2 - 4 hour shifts
- 2-6pm
- 6-10pm
Activity Level
Medium - Volunteers will need to be good with standing, working in a kitchen, and serving. May not be recommended for volunteers with physical limitations. Comfortable, sturdy shoes recommended.
