Headcount is a non-partisan organization that works with musicians to promote participation in democracy. We stage voter registration drives at concerts and run programs that translate the power of music into real action. By reaching young people and music fans where they already are - at concerts and online - we make civic participation easy and fun.

HeadCount is primarily a volunteer based organization, and has volunteer regional coordinators across the country. We are currently seeking a Regional Coordinator for the Upper Midwest, to manage volunteer leadership in Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota. Regional coordinators work remotely, but we prefer that they live within their region if possible.

Regional coordinators become a core part of the HeadCount family and we are looking for volunteers to make at least a year, but hopefully a multi-year, commitment.

Regional coordinators oversee 5 to 8 "Team Leaders." They organize, motivate, recruit, train, and manage individuals spread across a region of the U.S., and serve as the key liaison between HeadCount and our representatives in the field. This is primarily a phone and e-mail-oriented position, but we encourage Regional Coordinators to join us at festivals and occasionally travel to other cities to train new Team Leaders. This position requires people who are proactive, thorough and enjoy leading others.

Requirements

• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Strong work ethic, maturity and sense of accountability
• About 4 to 8 hours per week of availability for phone and email communication
• Being self-motivated and thorough
• Passion for voter engagement and
• Relevant leadership experience
