Position Title: Thrift Shop Weekend Associate

Purpose of the Position: To support CASA's Thrift Shop on one of their busiest days of the week, Saturday.

Responsibilities/Duties: Support the Thrift Shop by sorting donations of clothing and/or household items, answering the donation door as donors drop off their items, supporting the front at the register or with customers, or doing some light cleaning as needed.

Qualifications: Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age. Must be able to lift 20lbs. and be on your feet for the majority of your shift. Bending, lifting, standing and moving around for the duration of your shift is expected.

Commitment:
Four hours each Saturday preferred, flexible shift between the hours of 9am-4pm
Every Saturday for six months

CASA Community Thrift Shop is seeking two volunteers responsible for providing support throughout the Thrift Shop in various areas like the clothing, electronics, donation door, on the sales floor, at the dressing rooms or cash register for every Saturday, 2-3 hour shifts.

We are seeking TWO volunteers who can serve on every Saturday of the month. Flexible - set your own schedule!

PLUS! You can earn "Funny Money" to use in the Shop. For every hour you serve, you will receive $1 of Funny Money to use!

About CASA: CASA (Community Action Stops Abuse) is a non-profit organization serving survivors of domestic violence in Southern Pinellas County. CASA operates the area’s 24-hour crisis hotline and 100-bed emergency shelter, offers community support groups, provides courtroom advocacy, assists the Child Protective Investigative team and conducts community and corporate training. In addition, CASA's Peacemakers Program teaches anti-bullying and healthy relationship curriculum throughout the Pinellas County school system to end the generational cycle of violence.
