Help rebuild the lives and homes of New York families displaced by Hurricane Sandy! There are a variety of tasks that volunteers undertake with SBP New York. From installing drywall to canvassing in local neighborhoods, our team appreciates anyway you can help us rebuild. There is no experience required - we provide training before any work begins. At the end of the day, our volunteers leave the job site knowing that they made a difference in the life of a family affected by Hurricane Sandy and they learned a lot in the process.

Our clients are low- to moderate-income residents who cannot afford to rebuild their homes in the Rockaways, Brooklyn, and greater Queens. They consist of families with small children, the elderly, disabled persons, veterans, and under- and uninsured persons. SBP New York is part of the national nonprofit SBP which has rebuilt over 1,300 homes for disaster-impacted families across the country.
