Area Agency on Aging of North Central Texas
Empower older adults to take charge of their own health. Workshops are led by two trained volunteer leaders and coaches.
FREE volunteer training provided:
Chronic Disease Self Management-once a week for 6 weeks
Diabetes Self Management-once a week for 6 weeks
A Matter of Balance Fall Prevention-8 sessions (twice a week for 4 weeks or once a week for 8 weeks)
Choose your interest area: older adults with chronic conditions or diabetes, or those who have a fear of falling.
Workshops are scheduled throughout the year. Volunteers choose which workshops they would like to facilitate.

to provide a comprehensive and coordinated network of health and human services for older North Central Texans and their family caregivers
The Agency plans and coordinates services for persons ages 60 and older and their family caregivers who live in the 14 counties surrounding Dallas and Tarrant. Direct services include: information and referral, case management, benefits counseling, legal assistance, ombudsman, money organizer, homemaker, and caregiver education and training.
