Mission Statement
Educate a girl, empower the society.
Nashipai Maasai Community Projects was started with the ambition to empower women and girls in the Maasai community. Since then we have been able to bring 250 girls to Naningoi Girls School, which is a rescue centre where they receive a quality education.
Nevertheless, there are still hundreds of girls who are forced into marriages at ages of 13-16 in the surrounding area, who need to be brought to school. We hope to save these girls from child marriage and enable them to go to school and become strong independent women.
Description
Naning'oi Girls boarding school is a rescue centre for girls who are running away from child marriages and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). We give them a place to call home and access to free primary school education. It is located in Mosiro, Kajiado county of Kenya. Volunteers can be involved in interacting with the girls, teaching English and Maths or other simple skills and games or helping at the school garden.
