Adventure is out there

We are currently recruiting volunteers for a number of opportunities. We are looking for help with fundraising as well as one-one work with the kids in our after-school program and summer camp. Below is a list of tasks.

  • Event Coordinator
  • Volunteer Coordinator
  • Ambassadors to assist with fundraising
  • Kitchen help during events
  • General all around handy people
  • Light office assistance
  • Kids Community Garden helpers
Don't worry - For most of these positions we are happy to train you and give you guidance. Some positions may require a background check.

Mission Statement

The mission of The Bridge Downeast is to provide opportunities that enhance, enrich and inspire the youth and families in the Down East communities using a Christian-based philosophy.

Description

The Bridge Downeast has been in operation since 2011. We started out as a place for teens to come on Friday and Saturday nights and have expanded to a 21st Century Learning Center afterschool program and summer camp. We provide a safe place for kids to come after school. We recognize that in order to support the youth of our community we need to support the family, so we have been adding programs for parents and seniors in the area. Our motto is "A rising tide lifts all boats!" As a non-profit organization in the Down East area of Carteret County, we recognize that the future of our community lies in today's youth. We strive to enhance and support their development throughout childhood and adolescence in order to provide the best chance for a successful transition into responsible adulthood.
