At Boys Hope Girls Hope we help academically motivated children in need meet their full potential. In addition to intense academic and personal support, we try and raise them to be well rounded adults.
We send out scholars to top private schools and because of this they get the opportunity to go on a trip to California every year. In order to be safe, we need to ensure that they know how to swim before they go.
By helping our 6th grade scholars (6 of them) learn how to swim, you are making sure they have the same opportunity to experience the ocean as all the other kids in their class!
We have a supporter who has offered us access to a pool.
We are looking for a certified swim instructor OR life guard to teach our scholars how to swim in said pool.
Hours and dates can be flexible, but it would need to take place in the month of June.

Boys Hope Girls Hope is a non-profit, multi-denominational and multi-ethnic organization, which provides scholarships to meet all of the needs for academically capable youth who may be held back by invisible barriers within their families or community.
Our residential and community-based programs offer comprehensive services and support systems that nurture the self-confidence, discipline and focus required to test children's academic limits and allow them to achieve dreams they once thought were out of their reach.
All scholars receive full educational scholarships to private college-prep schools, mentoring, tutoring, access to multiple enrichment activities and support through college.
