Thurston County Homeless Census
The Point in Time (PIT) Count of Homeless People is the annual census to find out who’s homeless & why. This information guides public funding for shelter, housing and social services throughout the county.
To volunteer, please follow this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HHJ76C5
In addition to fulfiling our mandate to accurately count the homeless in Thurston County, we organize a number of events to provide much needed care to our most vulnerable neighbors. This year, our Outreach Events will feature meals, haircuts, veterinary care and distribution of cold weather gear.
The Homeless Census will involve up to 200 volunteers throughout the day as well as up to 200 event attendees. Most attendees will arrive on foot. Events will be held at:
* Community Care Center, Olympia
* Family Support Center, Olympia
* Rosie’s Place Drop in Center, Olympia
ROOF Community Services, Rochester
We expect this event to go smoothly with minimal impacts on the surrounding area. If you have questions or concerns please contact us!

Mission Statement
Our mission is to connect partners and community resources to promote opportunities for people with limited incomes to become more resilient and prosperous. We envision a Thurston County wherein all individuals and families are able to live, work, meet basic needs, and prosper.
Description
The Thurston Asset Building Coalition is a network of social service providers, healthcare agencies, financial institutions, community and economic developers, educators, workforce developers, faith communities, businesses, government agencies, coalitions, and individuals. We are a coordinator and mobilizer of partners who serve people with limited incomes.
We define asset building as the strategies and supports that broaden and stabilize an individual or family’s resources - whether it be income, savings, housing, healthcare, education, or food - so that they may lead healthy, productive, and satisfying lives.
