HomeCare Options' House Call Groceries for Seniors' Volunteer Shopper Opportunities
16 people are interested
Enjoy shopping? Love to help people? HomeCare Options in Totowa, New Jersey, a licensed and accredited home health care agency, is seeking new volunteer shoppers for their House Call Groceries for Seniors program. This all volunteer shopping group provides a very practical service for Seniors and handicapped residents throughout Passaic County who are homebound and no longer able to shop for groceries for themselves. Each shopper, simply by making themselves available to shop for a client, also brings an extra ray of caring and sunshine into the lives of people who often have few people resources to rely on.
Individual shoppers, husband/wife teams, and parent/teen shopping pairs are welcome to apply. Can you share a few hours of your time each week? every other week? each month? to help? We will find a match for you! Shop in your own town, or shop in a town nearby. You choose how far you can travel to help, and which town(s) you are able to shop in. Please call Julie Ford at (973) 523-1224, Ext. 229 to learn more about this program.
The stories we hear from shopping clients, and individual shopping volunteers, are very heartwarming! So many matches seem to be made in heaven when you hear how appreciative clients are, and how relationships are built over time between clients and shoppers! Please call and give this a try! We look forward to having you join us as new members of our team of dedicated and warm hearted volunteer shoppers! Tell a friend who might also be interested to try this volunteer opportunity! We are looking forward to meeting you and seeing new faces during the upcoming year!
We'll work with your schedule.
