Gilbert House Children's Museum is looking volunteers to assist with one of our major events of the year. Legacy of Play Day is a free-to-the-community event, which invites visitors into the museum free of charge. We expect to see 1800-2000 visitors during the day.
The event will include many of our community partners offering fun and interactive STEM-based activities under the bridges for visitors to take part in. There will be food, music, and many playful things for our visitors to do during the event - all in the spirit of A.C. Gilbert for whom the museum is named after.
We need volunteers to assist with the setup and teardown of the event as well as the event itself. If you'd like to help out, please contact Patricia at outreach@acgilbert.org.

Description
Gilbert House Children's Museum is a private nonprofit children’s museum located in downtown Salem’s Riverfront Park. Founded in 1989, Gilbert House Children's Museum provides innovative and stimulating educational experiences which spark children’s natural curiosity. The museum's mission is to "inspire children to learn through creative play." This is accomplished through fun and challenging exhibits, camps, birthday parties, membership opportunities and outreach programs in the sciences, arts, and humanities. The museum is composed of three historic houses; the Rockenfield House, Gilbert House and Parrish House.
