Special Olympics North Carolina is seeking a responsible individual to serve as Health Program Administrator in the Catawba County Area.
Please provide your phone number if interested in learning more about this volunteer opportunity.
This Administration will help connect athletes to community health and wellness resources and eliminate many common barriers to health in your community as well as provide reports to Special Olympics North Carolina. Special Olympics North Carolina will provide training and support to this position and the programs are already established so you would be improving existing programs rather than starting from scratch.
Time commitment & requirements:
- Attend a monthly meeting and approximately 5-8 additional hours per month. The time is flexible and mostly virtual.
- We hold two health events during the year that would require one month where you would work 10-20 hours.
- We would like you to serve a one-year term with an opportunity to renew.
- It is preferred that you have some background experience in health and wellness but this is largely an administrative and outreach position.
Minimum responsibilities:
- Attend meetings and report on health-related program updates
- Assist in planning health-focused events
- Recruit health and wellness volunteers for events
- Assist in tracking and recording health data.
- Work with the Local Coordinator as needed.
Please respond with your contact information and qualifications. This is a very important position and we appreciate all who are interested in taking on this role.
