Are you looking for a rewarding opportunity where you receive more than you give?

Imagine teaching a person English language skills in order for them to make doctor appointments, attend parent/teacher conferences, talk on the phone, or navigate a grocery store.

Corazon a Corazon’s English as a Second Language program for adults helps solidify essential English language skills, and we need YOU!

(You do not need to know a foreign language)

Our center is equipped with textbooks, games and other resources for one-on-one tutoring and conversation classes.

We are hopeful for a minimal commitment of two hours per week, but are grateful for whatever commitment a tutor can give us. Our program is flexible and we will partner our tutors with learners according to agreeing schedules.

Our ESL tutors undergo a 12-hour training with Literacy Works to acquire basic knowledge of working with ESL learners. He/She will meet with the program coordinator to discuss the ESL learner's goals and achievements.

Our ESL Classes are held Monday - Thursday.

Required education: High school diploma or equivalent

Description

Corazon a Corazon is a non-profit organization that serves the Latino community. We offer one-on-one ESL tutoring for adults and an After-School program for children, both of which are volunteer based. Corazon believes that education is key to advancing and empowering our community.
