ABOUT WOMEN IN COMEDY

If you are a leader, we are looking for you! Women In Comedy empowers, connects, and advocates for women and girls seeking paid work in comedy.

With a group of awesome peers, the chapter president puts on 3 events in tandem with sister cities across the nation. It's a ton of fun for the right person who loves to laugh and is passionate about connecting women and creating gender parity.

Then starting a chapter of Women In Comedy in YOUR city could be for you! Women In Comedy is an organization dedicated to empowering, connecting, and advocating for women and girls who are pursuing or currently are working in paid careers in comedy. Our Next Chapter term starts May 1, 2018.

We are seeking chapter presidents to launch chapter cities all across the world. Being a chapter president/city is a volunteer role and yearlong commitment in which you recruit a chapter committee, put on 3 events per calendar year in tandem with sister cities, and help recruit the following year's committee.

We start interviews/recruiting/volunteer chapter training from January - April of each year. Applications are currently open and will close April 1, 2018. Candidates we are interested in for the 2018-2019 chapter year shall be contacted for interviews during the months of January 2018-April 2018. If you are not contacted, we appreciate your application but do not feel it is a fit at this time. Selected presidents shall be notified before their start date of May 1, 2018 of their presidency and training dates in April 2018.

If you are a natural born leader, interested in launching and being the president of a chapter in your city, can commit to 10 hrs per week of volunteer work, once per week national video calls, are available to train with us in April 2018, and are available to consistently lead from May 1, 2018- May 1, 2019, we want to hear from you!
