As a classroom volunteer, you will be teaching the Junior Achievement (JA) Economics for Success program to 8th graders. Volunteers will team teach, each volunteer leading two or three sessions and assisting in the rest. JA will provide you with a guidebook of lesson plans with step-by-step instructions, talking points, teaching tips, and all the student activity materials you need to lead the students through fun, hands-on activities centered on one of JA’s many free enterprise themed programs. Before you teach you will have a training session, and will be provided with training videos, and other tools to prepare you to lead your lessons and have a successful teaching experience. A classroom teacher will be present at all times to manage classroom behavior.
