We're hiring for the position of local coordinator in your area, for our high school foreign exchange student program. If you are looking for a part-time position (working from home), where you can make a difference in your community and the world, this may be the job for you!

Must be:
- At least 25 years old
-No criminal history
-Valid driver's license
-Be a kind, flexible person
-Enjoy working with teens

Duties include:
-Representing our organization in your community
-Recruiting local families/persons to volunteer to host our foreign exchange students for one or two high school semesters
-Screening volunteer families
-Providing support to the students/families

Excellent applicants are typically people who are actively involved in their community, who love kids and appreciate cultural diversity. They are often teachers (active and retired), foster parents, past host parents, stay-at-home parents, community advocates/ambassadors, etc.

A stipend of $1500/student is paid plus travel opportunities (for the placement and supervision of high school year students).

ACES believes that only through interaction can the peoples of the world truly understand each other, establish friendships and promote world peace.

Description

Established in 1995, ACES is a nonprofit organization designated by the US State Department to administer the High School/Homestay Exchange Program for foreign high school students, who are between 15 and 18 years old. Students spend one semester or one school year living with an American host family and attending local high school. Currently, ACES is working with more than 40 countries.
