Remita Health Hospice is seeking compassionate, reliable and dedicated volunteers with excellent communication skills to assist in our bereavement department for two to four hours per week, or whatever time the volunteer has to offer. Volunteer duties may include making outreach calls to individuals who have experienced a death of a loved one, data entry and weekly mailings. Calls will be made from our San Bernardino office. Volunteers will receive all the necessary training and support to ensure your experience is positive and enjoyable. Description
Health Essentials Volunteers offer the human touch to hospice care. They are men and women of all ages working at various jobs or going to school. They are homemakers or seniors enjoying retirement and they live in the communities across Riverside and San Bernardino County. Volunteers laugh and cry with patients or family members, while building relationships. Sometimes all that is needed is someone to sit quietly and hold a hand, play music, or sing a song. Patient assignments are made as close to the volunteer's home as possible. No medical training is necessary, and training is free.
