Service Description:This program is a chance to bring your knowledge and skills to not only streamlining the current systems our organization uses, but to develop new and creative ways to reach the community we work with to create positive, sustainable change for Denver’s youngest and most vulnerable children and their families. Communication and training play a key role in making this happen, so your contribution to this project will ultimately impact the effectiveness of our community engagement, and help us to make a difference for this population. This requires someone who has an eye for detail, while never losing sight of the bigger picture. An interest in social media and program evaluation would not go amiss either! Another aspect of this project focuses on increasing the capacity of the Council to implement and scale innovative program offerings to early learning programs, specifically targeting providers who serve high need families and children in Denver. To do this, the applicant will be designing a volunteer recruitment and onboarding process that the organization will use for years to come to ensure that our program offerings can be scaled to meet the needs of the community, even with uncertain funder support. This is crucial to the health of any non-profit, and our relationship with the people we serve. Last but certainly not least, this project will require designing and maintaining new pathways for expanding and strengthening outreach and communications at the Council. This is your chance to get creative! We are looking at a few specific projects, like a Job Board and a learning library, it is up to you to design these based on the starting steps of the previous VISTA! We are also open to other new and innovative communication tools and strategies, so this is a great way to bring your personal flair to the work.
