Interested in volunteering with helping educate children suffering from homelessness in Haverhill and looking for a relaxed and fun environment to serve in? If so, Emmaus Explorers is right for you! Emmaus Explorers is an interactive after-school program for Children ages 5-12. It is offered for 2 hours a day, three days a week, for eight weeks. Once the eight weeks are completed, we will be offering an additional 3-week service opportunity, which will be centered just around providing children with necessary homework assistance. Explorers is a hands-on educational program. We provide, mentoring, homework help, arts & crafts, and various activities for kids to express themselves outside of the shelter. It is a fantastic opportunity for volunteers interested in the educational field or has experience with education, interested in pursuing a career in education, or just love to work and mentor kids. Also, it is a great opportunity for students who are looking for an experience to fulfill necessary volunteer hours for credit. Our goal at Emmaus Explorers is to provide the children with resources that may be lacking once school ends for the day.
