AseraCare Hospice regularly has patients in the Valley area who could use additional support from a trained hospice volunteer - a caring heart. Volunteers do not provide any "scary" hands-on care - they are simply companions who provide extra support in what can be a lonely time for the patient and/or family members. We provide all the training (and all background checks) free to you - and hospice volunteers often report that the training alone was valuable for their own personal lives. You make your own hours - literally. You can volunteer 1 hr a week, three hours a month, whatever fits into your unique schedule. No matter what time you can provide, you will make a difference in a critical time in their lives, and be changed for the better!

AseraCare is a family-centered hospice. We provide hospice services to patients and their families in the place they call home - in their apartment or house, assisted living or nursing home. Our services include RN case management, home health aid visits, social work, spiritual care, volunteers, and bereavement support for the families.
