AseraCare Hospice regularly serves hospice patients residing in the Tekamah-Oakland area. We would love to have 1-3 volunteers who live in the area who would be willing to sit with a patient by the bedside, especially when the patient is approaching their final hours. Oftentimes family cannot be there (especially during harvest) at all times and appreciate just a little added support by a caring heart. Individual training is provided over lunch or coffees - covering all the ins and outs of hospice care, how to be supportive with the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs. Volunteering fits every kind of schedule - we can use you in the daytimes, evenings, weekends and even accommodate snow-birds! Do you have a heart for others? Join us!
