HFPC- Wilmington- Sound the Alarm Event
VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!!! We are installing smoke alarms in New Hanover County. This will be done in teams of 4.
Training will be provided before the event - along with breakfast and lunch for volunteers.
The goal for this Home Fire Preparedness Campaign (HFPC) event is 800 smoke alarms.
Seven times a day, someone dies in a home fire in the United States. Even more frequently, American Red Cross volunteers provide help to families who have lost their homes to devastating fires. It's more important than ever that we all join together to save lives, reduce injuries and cut down on needless losses from home fires. We are asking you to join us in this nationwide public initiative that aims to reduce fire-related fatalities in the U.S. by 25 percent within five years.

NOTE: If you are youth volunteer, 17 or younger, you will need to get a youth waiver signed. Volunteers 15 and under will not be able to go into private homes.
