We need people to help us prepare the facility for the 19th annual Empty Bowls charity event!
Empty Bowls, presented by Kroger, is an annual celebration presented this year at the Fashion Industry Gallery in Dallas. Proceeds from this event benefit help feed hungry children, families and seniors throughout North Texas. Come be a part of this exciting fundraising event! Your help is an important step to help our fight against hunger.
Description: Many hands make for light work! Bring a friend and help us:
- unload boxes
- distribute utensils/bowls/napkins to the chef stations
- assist with the centerpieces
- arrange signage
- move supplies to their correct locations, etc.
We are looking for volunteers to transform the empty facility into an exciting event space! Some moderate lifting may be required (20-30 pounds). Be prepared to be on your feet, and to carry things up stairs! Individuals, couples and groups are welcome to sign up. Please help us feed those in need by passing this info along to your family, friends and co-workers.
Age: Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Founded in 1982, the North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a Dallas nonprofit hunger relief organization that distributes donated, purchased and prepared foods through a network of more than 262 Food Assistance Partners in 13 counties. As a member of Feeding America, we support the nutritional needs of children, families and seniors through education, advocacy and strategic partnerships.
We strive to be the best nonprofit. Including access provided through SNAP application services, NTFB provides access to nearly 175,000 nutritious meals every day. ReThink Hunger is our three-year initiative to provide healthier food, develop new ways to extend our reach and improve the lives of those we serve.
