C3 Tutoring is looking for volunteers to help tutor school students for the 2020-2021 school year! We will have 2 programs: 1) Our regular tutoring hours in partnership with the Jamboree Housing project from 2-5PM on weekdays which is ONLY available to California based tutors and 2) our "Late Crew" which is on weekdays from 5pm-7pm and possibly weekends which is open to all US based tutors.
Even if you can only commit to one hour per week, it would still help a lot! Students are feeling the impact of COVID19 in school. While we understand the virtual learning may be a necessity, we also know it can negatively affect kids' education. Tutoring is necessary more than ever especially as parents try and cope with needing to work and/or stay safe as well
We primarily focus on homework help, but if time and resources permit, we strive to help kids improve their basic skills as well.
If you'd like to help kids reach their potential and make a difference in the community, we'd love to hear from you!
No experience is necessary! Many first-time tutors have gone on to become some of the best tutors we've had! What matters is that you want to make a difference in the community.
This service is provided in conjunction with Jamboree, the organization that manages the housing complexes where the students live

C3 Tutoring's mission is to provide a high-quality tutoring service for people in need throughout Los Angeles County, free of charge. We want to give local students a chance to succeed academically, and help them believe in their own potential.
Description
C3 is short for Community Culture Change, Inc. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on improving educational opportunities for students in need throughout Los Angeles County. Our main project is the C3 Tutoring program that helps elementary school students in Temple City.
Having worked with local elementary school students for years, we firmly believe they want to succeed and often just need a little help to do so. We have seen a lot of progress with the students we've worked with, and welcome anyone interested in helping to join the cause!
