Writer/Content Creator for Women In Comedy

Seeking content creators to help us launch a media outlet for our organization's brand targeting a niche market of female comedians. Our organization is all about positivity, uplifting women, empowering them, and creating spaces for their voices to be heard. If you have a passion for gender parity, like to laugh, and work well in a team, we want you to join our group of writers to create content together. This is a fun volunteer side project for anyone looking to make new friends while giving back and adding a resume item.

Skill Sets

• Journalism
• Experience Interviewing Others
• Sourcing Stories/Ideas for posts
• Creating Digital Content (Nice to have)
• Great with Grammar
• Previous Writing Experience in a professional capacity
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to bring diverse perspectives to the content

Time Commitment

• 5-10 hrs per week
• Once per week team checkins via phone/in person meetings (30 minutes - 1 hr)
• The rest of the time is spent at your leisure to complete at least one weekly article/post. You can work out of our space at 2112 (tech/entertainment hub) or work from home.
