There are many ways to help as a hospice volunteer: -Provide a break for a family, so the person is not home alone -Share stories, play games and read -Licensed volunteers offer specialized assistance -Veterans for veterans share their military experiences with other veterans -Comforting companions sit with people during their last hours of life, ensuring no one ever dies alone -Assist people with other services, such as grass cutting, snow removal, yard work and housekeeping -Clerical volunteers help with general office duties, such as mailings, copying, faxing and data entry
