Aurora at Home Hospice

Hospice Patient Companion

Make a Difference!
Impact the lives of others, develop new skills and meet new friends while helping people.

There are many ways to help as a hospice volunteer:
-Provide a break for a family, so the person is not home alone
-Share stories, play games and read
-Licensed volunteers offer specialized assistance
-Veterans for veterans share their military experiences with other veterans
-Comforting companions sit with people during their last hours of life, ensuring no one ever dies alone
-Assist people with other services, such as grass cutting, snow removal, yard work and housekeeping
-Clerical volunteers help with general office duties, such as mailings, copying, faxing and data entry
