Patient transport and discharge volunteers:
- Answer incoming calls from patient units requesting wheelchair assistance for patients
- Pick up patients in their rooms or surgical areas
- Provide wheelchair assistance to patients being discharged from the hospital
Volunteer shifts are Monday-Friday from
- 9am - 12pm
- 12pm - 4pm
Note: in these COVID times, volunteers in this assignment will wear the hospital's required personal protective equipment, namely, a face mask and plastic face shield.
